Really, Apple?
I thought maybe I was the only person childish enough to find the name of Apple's new product completely asinine. But no, it turns out other people agree with me. Really, guys? C'mon! Did no one on your staff see this?

I can't decided if it was an absolute marketing failure or pure marketing genius. They've gotten such a huge amount of free press all on account of the name. Just leave it to the Mac team to intentionally sabotage a product name, fully expecting the entire time for it to wind up driving revenue at the end of the day... guess we'll see if it actually works!
The way that stuff usually works is, about 3/4s of the staff realizes it but they're all afraid to speak but because--they'd be arguing with Steve Jobs! The emperor! Who is naked!
